As someone who has a chronic illness that gives me cushings symptoms/appearance due to steroid use I have felt/thought all these things but aren’t we encouraging a feeling of shame in patients by constantly referring to it as such in Drs primary learning materials?

OSCE practice thoughts of the day… It’s always important to address patient concerns with empathy but I am yet to find an OSCE station on Cushings that doesn’t focus mostly on the ‘ugliness’ or ‘unattractiveness’ of the condition.
