What a fun filled week in Primary 1! Christmas lunch was definitely a highlight for many of the children, look at those smiles 🥰
We loved going outside today to explore the snow ❄️ (Miss Coates says ‘Pull a funny face’ and this is the result 😂)
What a wonderful day for our P1 Learners getting to perform their Christmas Nativity in front of their special guests today. Thank you to everyone who came along to watch. We are very proud of our Children for working so hard and wish to say a big thank you to our Teachers.

This week we have been learning about the Hindu celebration Diwali ‘The Festival of Light’. P1C made rangoli patterns out of different materials such as numicon and 2D shapes. We also created our very own lanterns! 🏮

Dinosaur themed maths lesson incorporating shape today was a hit with P1C 🦖 Lots of great discussion from the pupils about different shapes they know we even spoke about sides, edges and some 3D shapes too! WOW 🤩
Some great teamwork from L, I and K today using the Lego blocks in our classroom to make a sculpture. Well done boys! 👏

P1C had a great time this morning exploring their new sound ‘b’. We made blew our own bubbles, experimented with making boats that could float in water and built brick towers! 🫧🧱

First Day of my new school yesterday!! What a pleasure to be there for the P1’s first day of school 🥰 Excited for all the fun we are going to have 🥳
The children won’t really notice if the displays aren’t finished or perfect on day 1. They probably won’t notice if books aren’t labelled. What they will notice is you and how excited/keen you are to get to know them and start building relationships. That’s the important bit.
August to Now 🥹🥰 Doing some last minute marking and realised how much of a difference one of my learners has made in her writing. All thanks to the amazing @MrsKRGray for inspiring me to love teaching writing too ❤️
