“Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us; and establish for us the work of our hands; establish the work of our hands.” Psalm 90:17

Whether you like it or not, the reason why Europe is falling is because it lost its Christian faith.

Not every controversy needs your 50 cents. It’s not by force one must participate in every regurgitated X discussion, even in seemingly “healthy” exchanges. Discerning what is worthy of our time online and what are worthless things to keep our eyes from is wise and necessary.

As homemakers we should all be too busy to be busybodying in every online topic. It’s unbecoming to be here gossiping, indirect tweeting or even directly arguing, especially with men. It’s even uglier when it’s done against fellow believers. We must do better. The home awaits.

My 4yr old, whose youngest sibling is *only* 4 months old, says he would like to have a baby girl now… and 10 more babies 😂 I love how much he delights in being a big brother. The best big brother. Adores the baby and baby adores big bro’s attention, laughs out loud with him.🩵

You got a short temper but you dont ever hit or yell at your boss or colleagues, just your family members?

A baby staring at you and suddenly smiling feels like getting a five-star review from someone who cannot be bribed. This tiny human has zero social obligations and thought, “Yep, I like this face.” Absolutely undefeated endorsement.

my 4 yr old, carefully patting my postpartum pouch: “Wow mummy your womb is getting a little fatty” So honest and so pure. I love children😂

The kind of random thoughts I have sometimes whilst nursing my baby: “We eat at least 10 eggs a day. Usually more. An egg allergy in our home would be a catastrophe. Baby, you are not allowed to be allergic.” 😂 Thankful for very healthy, sturdy children so far.

@BaarMama Yes. Happy to share more via DM.

@rayengroves try not to stress. one of mine had all his teeth (except 4 molars) by 18 months which is when he finally got up and walked. At 2 was a language explosion, didn’t talk lots before.

This is my mother-in-laws hands, after 101 years of service to her family, her friends, and her God. She has over 200 descendants.

This single juror said, “No. I’m not letting this woman get off with a fake insanity plea. She is not insane. No.” They argued with him. They thought he was arrogant. They showed him their credentials and expected him to say yes, but he wouldn’t. He just kept saying no. This is our culture: crazy people who will not listen to no and who demand that the rest of us affirm their craziness. It is a crisis of accountability. For years and years, parents have accepted excuses from their children instead of telling them no and holding them accountable for their actions. For years, pastors have failed to practice discipline, especially as it relates to women. If they ever got up the guts to say no and the women screamed, they would immediately back down. Part of reclaiming a sane culture is telling people no. No, you don’t get to do whatever you want. No, you don’t get to escape the consequences. No, you don’t get your way just because you scream louder. No. We need much more no in our culture.

'Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, and to take Him at His word; just to rest upon His promise, and to know, "Thus saith the Lord."

*newborn son crying uncontrollably* my unimpressed 4yr old: “control yourself, baby, you MUST control yourself” 😂😂😂

it knocks the wind out of me sometimes, how special my child is to me, how much I adore him. how did I never really notice how wonderful little children are, before all this? how was I missing, well, so much about reality, before all this? I was asleep in a way, and now I am awake sharing life with my child is an unearned gift, incomprehensible, the relationship is so unique and precious. it's impossible to overstate, it's impossible to accurately state at all. I'm not worthy, no one could be worthy of this, it's just by a mysterious grace/miracle that this is all possible and that this is all sustained. I am along for this ride in awe, at least when I am doing a decent job at paying attention the moment I fail at paying attention is the moment that the awe and joy stop flowing as easily. I believe this is true generally in life, especially with anything really worth doing (parenting is acutely worth doing). I will keep hoping and trying to pay attention, to see clearly and to touch reality, even just in glimpses and bursts. caring for young children is very demanding and requires a lot of self-denial and of course i lose sight of the joy, sometimes, between the glimpses. I am thankful and humbled to experience the joy and awe flowing from me towards my children. it is very mysterious, it's bigger than me, it's irreducible, also it's simply enjoyable and sublime

“So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Return, O LORD, how long? And let it repent thee concerning thy servants. O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.” Psalm 90:12-14 KJV

Sometimes I take inventory of my life and simply cannot believe how beautiful it is
