I hope you understand this: The reaction to Brantly’s tweet isn’t “policing” or “cancelling,” it’s holding someone accountable for publicly sharing very bigoted ideals and blatant hate speech against already targeted communities. We need to make Web3 feel safe for everyone.

i have zero interest in discussing this, but please consider that unlike other contentious terminology in tech, "whitelist" and "blacklist" refer to lists of *people*. not machines being analogized with human relationships, but actual humans beings. i hope we can show some care

3/ Yes, crypto-fascism is real. Yes, the technology is being used by white supremacists. Yes, some of the underlying ideas are rooted in, or can be interpreted as, neo-reactionary accelerationism. Yes, not enough people I interact daily with are aware of or address any of that.

I suspect a lot of lions are missing the point that indie cronos projects are able to move much faster because they find their edge trailblazing on what’s still unregulated or unaided by a serious legal team. we’ll see lion perks come as CDC capabilities arrive–check THAT roadmap

When most people say “NFTs” they mean artificially-scarce collections of digital art traded on the blockchain Technologists see “NFTs” as novel functionality that can be used in many different ways (non-monetary things too!)
