It’s fascinating when people who built their careers on citation counts suddenly declare them meaningless. At many universities, profanity and disrespectful behavior such as this on public platforms can get faculty brought before civility committees. But some feel so entitled that they don’t even have to pretend to follow the rules that are demanded for everyone else.
