J.K. Rowling could have kept quiet, banked her billions and stayed everyone's favourite author. She didn't. She put her name, her reputation and her own money on the line for women. She founded Beira's Place, a women-only centre in Edinburgh for survivors of sexual violence. She has funded legal fights to protect women's rights and women-only spaces. And she has given a voice to women who were too scared to speak. For that she has faced years of death threats, rape threats and torture threats. She hasn't flinched once. That's not just a literary legend. That's a hero for women everywhere. 👏🇬🇧

Ralph Fiennes has been a very, very naughty boy! He had the absolute audacity to publicly defend J.K. Rowling, the author of a series that gave him one of his most iconic roles to date… that of Harry Potter’s nemesis, Voldemort. Everyone is expected to perfectly goose-step in line and denounce her for her original sin of ‘transphobia’ due to a series of Tweets. Fiennes is not the sort of man to get dragged along in pointless slacktivism on the internet. He doesn’t Tweet about how woke he is, he doesn’t run around with little rainbows on his lapels… no, Ralph Fiennes is an actual professional. No nonsense, old-school — you’re here to act, so act! I like that. He’s an admirable chap Meanwhile Radliffe, Watson and whatever-his-name-is who plays Ron, the ginger sidekick, have all spat out Rowling and publicly denounced her, because the Gods of Social Justice have put a fatwa on her name. Voldie: “I find the level of hatred that people express about views that differ from theirs, and the violence of language towards others, disturbing.” Beautiful! To the point. And oh-so true. It is disturbing how incredibly, extremely, over-the-top pissed people get at you when you go against the narrative and dare to criticise whatever’s the current hype. The very fact that Fiennes is now “under fire” for a comment so benign, in defense of a woman so marvelous, is… terrifying. Half the millennial cast of the Harry Potter universe wishes to all-but cancel the very Creator of their own universe, the woman to whom each of them owe their lucrative careers. Not Fiennes. Fiennes was somebody before Voldemort, and continued to be somebody after. He doesn’t need to defend or attack anyone. But he does, anyway, because he’s a decent human being.

When @realDonaldTrump was elected for his first term, innumerable people including most of my academic colleagues said that the worst realities would befall the United States. None of those things happened. They then said that he would wait until his second term to end democracy, institute martial law, etc. None of those things have happened. Is there a SINGLE honest individual amongst those people who is willing to admit that they were grossly incorrect and hence irrationally unhinged?

I wish we didn’t have to respond to this today. Our thoughts should be with Helen Haines, and praying for her speedy recovery. But the Labor and Liberal Dirt Units are already back at work, attempting to use this tragedy to silence their critics and deflect from their own failings. Too many media organisations are happy to help them fling the dirt. The Please Explain cartoons have nothing to do with the tragic attack on Helen Haines. They will not be going anywhere. Liberal and Labor politicians want our cartoons censored because they don’t like the scrutiny. Free speech, satire, criticism and debate are essential to our democracy. They must be protected. Those seeking to exploit this tragedy to silence their critics should be ashamed of themselves. What happened to Helen is heartbreaking. Politicians deserve to be safe. So does every other Australian. When violence touches politicians, the response is immediate: more security, more protection and demands for action. Where is that same urgency when ordinary Australians are attacked? Too many Australians have experienced violent home invasions, firebombings, machete and gun attacks and carjackings. Innocent Australians are being stabbed on the streets. They cannot call on a security detail. They rely on governments to keep their communities safe. Where has the Prime Minister been? Where is his determination to confront the crime and violence regular Australians face? One Nation will continue to hold the Albanese Labor government to account. We will keep speaking up for Australians whose safety and concerns have been ignored. We stand firmly against hatred, crime and violence. And we will keep working to unite all Australians under one flag.

Because a certain kind of man believes that not getting everything he wants from women is oppression. This applies both to incels and to the type of trans-identified man who insists that speech, laws and physical spaces should be reconfigured around his self-image.

Billy Crystal told @CBS Sunday Morning that he no longer trusts God after experiencing two very painful life tragedies. He lost his family’s Pacific Palisades home of 46 years in the 2025 wildfires. And then he was faced with the death of his close friend, Rob Reiner. He told the media that he wasn’t speaking to God anymore “cause I don’t trust Him. Too many bad things have happened. The earth is in bad shape. This is a weird, scary time.” Everyone has bad things happen in life, and everyone experiences loss and disappointment. But I trust God. The Bible says we all have an appointment with death and then the judgment—and the decisions we make now will determine where we spend eternity. God is real, He is trustworthy and true. He loves us. Owen Jones came on Triggernometry. After being given lots of speaking time, he was asked a few probing questions and immediately turned the conversation into a gotcha style debate. This naturally resulted in him being destroyed with facts and lots of people on the internet laughing at him. Now he is so butthurt, he spends his days posting videos no one watches about how he was right about everything. While having me and Francis blocked. Loser energy.

When I was Muslim, I used to ask Christians: “If Jesus was really God, why did He eat, sleep, and bleed like us?” I literally would ask it with pride. I was super pumped about it because like it was some unbeatable argument. I loved how that felt. But bro, later I realized something: That question is not exposing Christianity - like at all. It was exposing my total misunderstanding of what kind of God Jesus claimed to be for His people. After I became a Christian, I pondered this a lot. I repent for this too! The question is not: Why would God become weak? The question is: What kind of God would willingly step into human suffering at all? This was convicting for me because Islam taught me about a God who was distant and untouchable. But Christianity introduced me to a God who stepped into hunger, exhaustion, grief, pain, betrayal, blood, and suffering with us. After I understood it, Jesus' humanity stopped looking like weakness to me. It became proof of love. If Jesus ate, it means He came close enough to experience hunger beside us. If He slept, it means He embraced the exhaustion we carry. If He bled, it means He did not stand above suffering watching us from a distance. He entered it Himself. Philippians 2 says Christ emptied Himself and took on flesh. Why? Not because He stopped being God, but because He wanted humanity to finally see what God is actually like. And it turns out God is willing to suffer for the people He loves. That one realization changed so much for me. Every other religion demanded sacrifice from humanity. Jesus became the sacrifice Himself. PRAISE JESUS! I AM FREE! Follow me if you want to become better equipped to defend your faith, understand Islam, and lead Muslims toward Jesus.

In the time of the Reformation it was a known practice of the Catholic priests to deny the people the cup during communion. They would give them the bread but not allow them to drink of the cup. The logic was that these people might accidentally spill a drop and dishonor the blood of Christ. So, people routinely went forward for communion and were disallowed full participation and obedience to Christ, who instituted both bread and cup in remembrance of his sacrifice and in anticipation of his return. In response to the Protestant complaint that this practice violates Jesus’ commands, the Catholic Church addressed it at the Council of Trent. This is an ecumenical council and is infallible (as far as they are concerned). The council decided that it would be official Catholic teaching that laity who eat only the bread and are refused the cup have done enough. They don’t need the cup. A small but important moment demonstrating how false teaching gets enshrined and how Catholics are bound by their magisterium in ways that can keep them from obeying Jesus. Countless Catholics will go to Mass this Sunday and be given only the bread, being denied the cup. Though they do make some exceptions for special feast days. Jesus and the apostles did one thing and the Roman Catholic authority does another.

Making an example out of Lindsay Clancy was inevitable. Either an example of a woman who would be shamed and punished for murdering her children OR an example of a woman who would be coddled and justified for murdering her children. That example paves a path one way or the other. Many in our society chose the path toward encouraging evil women with murderous desires. Toxic empathy in effect.
