@zackkanter That line travels well beyond restaurants. In B2B systems, a smaller product with a crisp operating boundary is easier to support, sell and evolve than a broad platform that slowly turns the team into the bottleneck.
@davefarley77 Characterisation tests also force the useful question: which behaviours are policy, and which are accidental history? In long-lived B2B systems, a surprising amount of ‘legacy behaviour’ is how operations survive their edge cases.
