Using Bible verses to justify violence is not only the opposite of what Jesus teaches, it’s a direct contradiction of the passage Hegseth cites in this video. “Here am I, send me” was the prophet Isaiah’s response after being called by God to deliver a message to the people and their leaders. What was the message? “Your leaders are rebels, the companions of thieves. All of them love bribes and demand payoffs, but they refuse to defend the cause of orphans or fight for the rights of widows.” Isaiah 1:23 What were these corrupt and rebellious leaders doing? “Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless. What will you do on the day of reckoning, when disaster comes from afar? To whom will you run for help? Where will you leave your riches?” Isaiah 10:1-3 God is sending Isaiah to warn the people, and more specifically their leaders, that if they do not turn from their corrupt ways and begin caring for the most vulnerable among them, they will suffer God’s judgment. Isaiah answers that call by saying, “Here am I, send me.” This isn’t just about taking a few Bible verses out of context. For an administration filled corrupt leaders to claim these verses while perpetrating the very marginalization and oppression being condemned in this passage is the height of blasphemy.
.@SECWAR "This is our first stop on what we are calling the SEND ME TOUR. If you know your Book of Isaiah, Chapter 6, Verse 8, the Lord said, 'Whom shall I send?' Isaiah says, 'Lord, I AM HERE. SEND ME...' For 250 years of this country, there have been men and women who RAISED

"One more thing," the patient says, right when I'm about to exit the exam room. I used to be annoyed by it. Until one day, a patient's "one more thing" was actually "the" thing she wanted to say. But she needed to feel me out and make sure I was a safe person first. So, I sat back down and listened. Then we discussed and ran tests. "You restored my faith in doctors." She took the bus just to tell me this today after making a full recovery. Her visit filled my heart with warmth and purpose. If we ask people to wait for months for their appointments, then (sometimes) hours in our offices, we can hear them out for their one more thing.
If I want to give something away for free, I always list it on marketplace at a very low (but not too low) price. And then when someone comes to get it, I just tell them it’s free. It gets rid of the thing faster and with less hassle than listing it for free, somehow.

Last week, the IRS has stated that Americans must report payments on Venmo, PayPal over $600. Last week, the Defense Department failed its fifth audit, unable to account for more than 61% its assets, worth about $1.8 trillion.
The exploitation of Christ for worldly power in this era is unconscionable. Leave his name out of your evil. Non-Christian observers, please do not to look to cultural Christianity for what Jesus is like but to the Gospels, Acts & the NT epistles. Look to the sermon on the mount.
