Create a spreadsheet of your newsletter headlines, open rates, and CTRs as your personal audience library. It would be great if the top newsletter dawgs @beehiiv, @SubstackInc & @kit made this easier to do with a simple "export" button on the "Posts" page.

The most liberating thing you can do with any newsletter is not have to worry about traffic If you can automate traffic: with an ad, welcome email sequence, pinned social media post, adding a link to a store's receipts (ooh🤔) You can free up space and creative prowess to scale

After all said and done, the fastest way to grow a newsletter is to funnel your audience in from your existing audience - on X, LinkedIn, Facebook, wherever. Failing that, funnel in someone else's audience (with permission, of course)

These stats look terrible, but it’s just the 80/20 rule at play I’ve gone from 20% open rate to >70% in the last 12 weeks by casting my net a little wider each week 20% of your audience will be die-hard engages of your newsletter Your job is to find that 20% and serve them

Not entirely what’s going on… but ever since I switched off ads to work on my stores SEO, been getting sales consistently on random products in my store
