በበጀት አመቱ የኑሮ ውድነትን ለማቅለልና የምርት አቅርቦት ችግሩ ለመፍታት መሰረታዊ የፍጆታ ምርቶች ወደ ከተማችን በስፋት ለማስገባት፣ ግብይቱንም ለማዘመን እና ተደራሽ ለማድረግ እንዲቻል በከተማችን የመግቢያ በሮች ማቅረብ ተችሏል።
ከተማ ግብርና በሚመለከት ፦ በከተማ ግብርና መርሃ ግብር በእንስሳት እና በሰብል ልማት ምርት 110,489.33 ቶን ለማድረስ ታቅዶ 120,167 ቶን ምርት ማግኘት የተቻለ ሲሆን፣ ትልቅ ድርሻ የነበረው የሌማት ትሩፋት ንቅናቄ ስራው ነው፡፡
"የታላቁ ህዳሴ ግድብ ግንባታ በበጀት አመቱ 685 ሚሊዮን ብር ለማሰባሰብ ታቅዶ 632,126,733 ተሰባስቧል፡፡ በዚሁ አጋጣሚ የከተማችን ህዝብ የሀገራችን ስኬት ማሳያ የሆነውን የህዳሴ ግድብ እስኪጠናቀቅ ድረስ ድጋፉን እንዲያስቀጥል ጥሬዬን አቀርባለሁ፡፡"

"የህዝባችን ጥያቄ ለመመለስ፣ የመልካም አስተዳደር ችግር ለመፍታትና የኢኮኖሚ ተጠቃሚነትን ለማረጋገጥ በትብብርና በቅንጅት መስራት አቅም ይፈጥራል ።" :- ወ/ሮ ሽታዬ መሐመድ የአዲስ ከተማ ክ/ከተማ ዋና ስራ አስፈፃሚ
ኢትዮጵያ ሲባል አንድ እንሁን ‼ "ለምንለያይበት ሳይሆን ለምንገናኝበት፣ ለምንገፋፋበት ሳይሆን ለምንሳሳብበት፣ ለምንሻኮትበት ሳይሆን ለምንተባበርበት ቅድሚያ ሰጥተን፣ አንድ ትልቅ ሕዝብ እንሁን፡፡"
