Michael Sheen’s far-left agitprop drama, The Way, which imagines a civil uprising in Wales over the future of the Port Talbot steelworks (brutally out down by a fascist England, of course), is one of the BBC’s biggest drama flops ever. Even though it was on BBC1, only 697,000 viewers watched the third and final episode, which the BBC claimed “ambitious, powerful and surprising” — perhaps the lowest ever rating for a prime time BBC1 drama finale.
@afneil Huge numbers compare to GB News & Talk TV though 🤷♂️
@afneil Why would the left protest closing steel works? They think it's a good thing that's needed to reach net zero.
@afneil BBC is fast becoming the new C4. Dumbed down cheap tat programmes, usually with a socialist slant, are ever increasing. Even Question Time has lost the plot and Have I got Socialist News For You is no longer funny.
@afneil The very idea that English authorities would brutally put down anything these days is laughable…😄
@afneil That's a racist remark, Lord Brillo, not that you will recognise it.
@afneil I never knew about this programme. I'll be looking this up to view.
@afneil Glad I cancelled my TV Licence, 4yrs ago now, just get a good IPTV service and help #DefundTheBBC
