Realtors, serious question for you. When you have to announce a huge price reduction aren't you a little bit embarrassed that you were so off? I just got an email for a $300k reduction and my first thought was "wow she was way off".
@Chris_Smth I think the question to ask is who is accountable for determining the list price? The Realtor or the owner of the home?
@alexwang @Chris_Smth Realtors can’t make that decision, sellers do. We are there to be the professional to present the numbers & tell them all the possible outcomes w/ those numbers. But it’s the Realtor’s responsibility to take the listing (seller agrees w/ comps) or reject (if stubborn seller).
@alexwang @Chris_Smth Ultimately, the owner is responsible for setting the price, and the agent is responsible for taking the listing.
@alexwang @Chris_Smth Tell me what industry exists in the entire global economy where the salesperson gets to tell the owner of the company what price to sell their products?
