TL;DR: this idea of 'Somatic Luck Theory' basically states that: The more regulated your nervous system & the less tension held in your vascular system (two sides of the same coin) → the clearer your perception becomes & the more life appears to bend luck in your favor.

@wildcat_of @danaparish Ppl underestimate how dangerous exertion is when your immune system is trying to fight pathogens. That's why we see tennis, cyclists, MMA, runners etc effected more than the general pop. Unfortunately this just makes them the canaries in the coal mine, slower burning for others.

So much of Lingering Pathogenic Illness & IACI can be seen through a trauma lens: a maladaptation to harm that never fully resolves, can be passed on, and isn’t microbe-specific. Of course, some folks still think the microbe is the disease and not the unresolved injury.
