in sf and nyc you're trained to act like they have every answer figured out. then you walk onto a jobsite in texas, and suddenly you're out of place and realize you're just a young kid with a dream and too much unearned hubris. but being humble is how you connect with people. and feeling young, or out of place (too female for me, at times), that's a sign that you're pushing the boundaries and growing.
