Infleqtion just demonstrated 30 logical qubits working together to help manage that noise on our Sqale quantum computer. Why does that matter? More reliable quantum computers can run longer, more complex computations. $INFQ SPARK NOTES from this week: 30 logical qubits ✅ Error detection ✅ Loss / erasure correction ✅ Full real-time QEC ❌ not yet Infleqtion itself says the 30 logical qubit result fulfilled its 2026 roadmap commitment. The full paper is coming in the next few weeks with the experimental methods, resource counts and statistical analysis. And yes, everyone is going to be looking closely at the error correction numbers. Even if the paper shows they haven’t hit every 2026 roadmap parameter yet (including 99.90% gate performance), I’m not losing sleep over it. They’re already working on real-time control, mid-circuit measurement, stronger error suppression and fault-tolerant QEC with NVIDIA CUDA-Q Logical. They also showed 3 customers for Sqale logical circuits in the QWC presentation. My bet? Give these guys a few months. You really think Infleqtion is walking into 2027 with 3 major customers waiting and NOT pushing like hell to get the next layer of QEC working? Come on. 👀

Road maps are road maps, sure they will get there eventually. A close colleague of mine works at IONQ now, and I am quite aware of the field. It does not stop neutral atoms from achieving higher fidelities either. The velocity of progress in neutral atoms have dominated past few years. I am positive on both modalities. We don't need to put down one for the other.

@genejchan The difference is, there is a limit to which ionq can improve pure qubit fidelity. With error correction, it is much easier to scale and break. Two different roads.

I am honestly tired and don't have time for this. I work with quantum algorithms as part of my work, and have run experiments on many hardware providers including ionq. You can read our papers online. I build/optimize quantum compilation pipelines (including optimizing error correcting code implementations), so I understand these topics quite well. Simulations are at the end simulations. Also 99.99 fidelity by ionq was only an experiment with electronic control, which is not available on normal machines. So, that comparison is flawed from the start. In practice, we get less than 99.5 ish for 2-qubit fidelity even with ionq devices. On the other hand, we cant even run any nisq algorithms on neutral atoms as of now. They need error correction. Writing a paper is not the same as implementing it in hardware. Which is not the same as making them available on customer devices. I stop here. Take this info if this is useful.

@genejchan Yea sure, sell the trustworthy company with all the momentum, Gov contracts, and roadmap delivery and continue buying the company that has consistently failed to deliver their roadmap by orders of magnitude and consistently obfuscates or over-inflates their technological position
