Ujale apni yaadon ke hamare saath rehne do, Na jaane kis gali mein zindagi ki shaam ho jaye. Hum bhi dariya hain humein apna hunar maloom hai, Jis taraf bhi chal padenge raasta ho jayega. Aankhon mein raha dil mein utar kar nahi dekha, Kashti ke musafir ne samundar nahi dekha.

His legendary journey started in the heart of AMU. The campus life, the late-night poetry discussions, and his academic rigor at Aligarh Muslim University laid the foundation for the man who would redefine modern Urdu poetry. He carried the essence of AMU's 'tehzeeb' (culture).

A true maestro of Urdu literature has left the stage. Dr. Bashir Badr’s Sahab legacy is immortalized in every heart that understands love and pain. May his soul rest in eternal peace. 🕊️ While the world knows him as the master of ghazals, his roots were deeply tied to AMU.
