Game theory teaches that if you have an edge over other players, you must shut up about it. Don't announce you have the winning hand unless that's the way you win. Ed Thorp would only bet when math was on his side: he invented card counting in blackjack and his hedge fund had 20% returns over 20yrs with only 3 months down. (He invented a formula for option pricing that he never publicized; when others did, they got a Nobel prize). Buffett thought the same way; when he felt out of touch with the game, he closed his partnership in 1969. These Masters go around teaching how they did it, but they know no one can compete with them. Game selection is as important as skill, and it can't be taught in a one-hour speech. "If 30 mins into a poker game you don't know who the patsy is, you are the patsy"
Whenever I feel lost, I watch this.
Palantir CEO Alex Karp says all smart people hide their intelligence: "One of the ways you make it to the top is you hide how smart you are." "Every single person who has shared how intelligent they are tells you how stupid they are."
Where are you my love?
They’ll fuck the shit out of you though.
“Beneath the armor that so many teenagers build around themselves to avoid suffering lies the desire to love and be loved,” Pope Leo XIV said on October 22 to participants in the International Congress for Pastoral Care in Schools and Universities, taking place at the Vatican. In his address he urged those present to encourage young people and help them “become protagonists of a new way of inhabiting the world, builders of fraternity and of a more just society.”
🇻🇦 Pope warns young people afraid to make mistakes Pope Leo XIV warns that a "performance-driven culture" is leaving many young people "virtually paralysed by the fear" of making mistakes.
Celibacy, fasting & prayer will break any demonic covenant & soul tie. Trust me.
“For without risk there is no faith, and the greater the risk, the greater the faith” — Søren Kierkegaard
You only fear you'll lose her because you think she's better than you The problem = you think
There’s literally no benefit in begging anyone to stay with you. Absolutely none.
Clapped for others till it was my time, new contract iko ndani ndani!!😭😭
its ok to embarrass yourself in pursuit of human connection btw
Delete that paragraph king she don’t give a fuck
😂😂😂😂
A clip that must never disappear from the internet.
"Once they smell your desperation, they won't respect you. And you will never get what you want anyway." Harvey Specter, Suits
