I think the turning point for Marner was Babsgate. #Leafs punting an established NHL coach and exposing him like that empowered Mitch and not in a good way. The victim card is his only hand. All the skill in the world, completely spineless. Would have been better off with Hanifin

The #Leafs would be tangibly different with Brad Marchand. I don’t know that bringing in player x or player y is going to yield the results management nor fanbase are hoping for but that is definitely one guy who can swing things in a big way. Need Leaders. Gamers. Winners. Nose.

Mitch Marner was given everything by this organization including an unprecedented contract, 3 coaches & everything in between and he never once paid them back with playoff success...but somehow its HIM who feels like the team wronged him? Un-fucking-believable GTFO #LeafsForever

John Tavares had 38 goals in the regular season and 5 goals in the playoffs. That's second most on the team in both instances. Whatever DNA problem the Leafs have, it has nothing to do with Tavares. People who don't want him back need to do better analysis #LeafsForever

I’d be okay with Toronto taking on his full cap hit if it means the Flames trade Kadri back to the Leafs. And don’t bother with your rational takes on why it’s a bad idea. I simply don’t care about the red flags. I miss having players who give a damn.

This looks a lot like the clip going around from this year. If chief can’t get that complacency out of his game I think the #Leafs need to look at moving Willy regardless what happens with Mitch. You just don’t see players with his price tag doing shit like this.

Oilers playing like a team who had an unprecedented 4 first overall draft picks and 11 top-10 picks since 2000! Good for them - nice to see the little guys have some success... #Leafs had only 6 top-10, only 1 first OA pick in that timespan. Lost out on another homegrown great.
