Kim Mulkey putting Haley Van Lith on Caitlin Clark (and keeping her on her for the majority of the game) is one of the most baffling coaching decisions I've seen in a high level game. She had no chance of containing Clark in space.
How is the outside ref calling this? Baseline ref is right on the play with the perfect angle and calls nothing.
Another good example of what I’m talking about below. Tall players who don’t have to jump are allowed to do this, but the second you jump to contest it’s a foul in wbb.

This was called a jump ball. WBB refs continue to really struggle with this call. Crooks can’t elevate because she’s jumping into Brinks extended arms.
The main stream sports fan/media are about to witness how bad wbb officials are this March Madness. I’m a little nervous about it. They will inevitably impact the outcome of games.
The reffing in wbb is a serious problem. The powers at be need to fix it asap or they are going to squander the growing interest in the sport.

First thing I would do to fix the charge problem in CBB: change the signal. Refs enjoy the hand behind the head air punch WAY too much.

WBB refs strike again- 32 FTA for San Francisco to just 1 for Pacific. Pacific lead by 7 at half, but a 22 FTA differential in the second half was too much to overcome.
Imagine calling this off-ball rebounding foul to give a team a 5 point play to win by 1….CBB refs never cease to amaze me.

@banthecharge She is the worst guard defender on the team it was never a good idea to have her on Clark. Shes near 5 inches shorter, slow foot speed.
@banthecharge To be fair HVL guarded Clark last year when Iowa played Louisville in the Elite 8 last year in Seattle. All Clark managed to do was drop a 41 point triple double.

Flau’jae was obviously supposed to match up with CC. I respect HVL though sacrificed her offensive role to try and get stops for the team, she has heart.

Yes CC is absolutely a great player and there is no “stopping” her but, there is so much wrong in this from an individual and team defense standpoint. I’m not gonna say too much bruh. 😑

@banthecharge @pac12 Cannot imagine being a Utah player/coach/fan. I'm a fan of neither (supporting Pili because of Alaska) and I was livid. The referees -literally- dictated the final 30 sec of the game with terrible calls. They reviewed everything that didn't matter, and reviewed nothing that did.
This might be the worst call i've ever seen made in a basketball game ever.
NCAA WBB's decision to get rid of the charge circle, allowing defenders to slide under layup shooters at the rim, hasn't been reported on enough. This call was made with 80 seconds left in a tied game. Complete failure by leadership that is going to be very baad for the sport.
