I have definitely heard of the batching transactions idea but we aren't getting millions of people on to layer 1 even with batching, im not convinced layer 2 like lightning will produce enough fees either. Im going to look into this in more detail as its a way of keeping fees down

@AGratefulApe Or we increase the block size or break the hardcap. Nobody wants to do that which means we will end up with high fees...I love bitcoin but theres a problem there Brewing
@AGratefulApe Bitcoin can be wildly popular and still not make enough for transactions. Current usd block reward is about 250k usd while transactions are about $1100 usd per block. Thats probably not enough... thats the math either the bitcoin price keeps doubling every 4 years....
@NEEDcreations Omg I had thst exact model ! Phones now take the job of this beast
@NEEDcreations I agree with this take i used to think hyperbitcoinisation was inevitable but I sadly now think fiat will survive...
@caoimhinllc I expect this to happen more and more into the future. Good on you 👏
@BitcoinCashOG Yes agree bch needs way more users and despite full blocks I genuinely believe we will have another debate about lifting the block size on btc to increase transactions per block which would be funny for you guys!
@anbrandenburger Yes I have hence why I didn't include Kaspa in my statement ;)
@KaspaSilver Good point. It will be interesting to see how this plays out going forward though. I have a feeling many smaller altcoins simply wont have the fee revenue.
@AGratefulApe Here's the catch you can have high demand lots on fees and still not have enough to secure the network on proof of work. It definitely doesnt work if you have no demand but look at the dollar figure even with high transactions.
@omega_netw0rk Fees simply aren't enough though ?! The numbers simply dont stack up no despite a mechanism like that...
@r0bertclarkson Wow that makes for crazy reading.... the ai taking your job worry is starting to happen. The personal cost to people is now clear with comments like that.
Just paid for this beer with #bitcoin for the monthly Bitcoin meetup here in #queenstown. Stacks of businesses accepting #btc. Bars name is Locker Room. Bullish!
@r0bertclarkson I used to vote for the Greens but this is the silliest idea they have had ....
@r0bertclarkson The etfs still havent lost anyone's money yet... imo its much safer then people make out but you are right we dont know how they custody their bitcoin.
@kurpan_t This is not correct the 2025 price at one point went under the 2021 ath, that means people in thst period were losing and thats a 4 year period.
@kevvy005 @bobmccoskrienz She's not actually saying the greens would work National she is saying she can work with national
