This is the fundamental contradiction of capitalism: there's social production but private ownership. Everyone feels a little aggrieved that Musk is ruining a site which they feel is theres and in a way it is, they produce and reproduce it every day

Last night was SF's 4th election this year (!!), including 2 billionaire-funded recalls and a horrifying redistricting process. Community organizers resisted fatigue to deliver wins for housing, public transit, voter enfranchisement, libraries and good governance. My gratitude!

Today's veto of SB57 is a brutal, devastating set back, denying SF, LA, & Oakland the authority under state law to open overdose prevention sites that we know save lives. These sites work, they get get drug use off the streets, & connect people to treatment. We remain determined.

Damning transparency in this “moderate” eblast: “Redistricting is going better than I could have ever dreamed. The current draft map will flip 3 districts with Progressive Supervisors to moderate majorities.” This is partisan gerrymandering. The definition of voter suppression.
