Twitter has two types of autism most of the time. Profound autism “Neurodiversity” version - I just think differently. Trouble is there are a lot of autistic people in the “middle”. Who supports & advocates for them?
@draevans That is not what neurodiversity believes. while there are some extremeists on all sides, the vast majority believe that autism is a condition that includes impairment and social oppression--completely in alignment with the licved experiences of autistics of all expressions.
@c4ucontact May I ask how do you know? Neurodiversity is a concept- it is incapable of belief. I have read a few papers recently that point out dangers with the concept. Having had push back from autism moms and super power people I am wary. Who speaks for those in the middle?
