El Vicepresidente de la República, Sr. Félix Ulloa hijo (@fulloa51), sostuvo una reunión con el CEO de Dapper, Sr. Luis Alberto Rodríguez (@RodLuisAlberto), quien presentó el trabajo que realiza en el país para el fortalecimiento de la administración pública y la educación superior, mediante el análisis de datos y la implementación de inteligencia artificial para atraer inversión a este sector. 🇸🇻 Durante el encuentro, el Vicepresidente Ulloa reiteró que El Salvador atraviesa una nueva etapa de su historia, marcada por la recuperación de la seguridad y la construcción de nuevas oportunidades para la población. Bajo el liderazgo del Presidente @nayibbukele el país vive una transformación que ha permitido hacer apuestas estratégicas en educación, a fin de ampliar las posibilidades de formación universitaria, técnica y vocacional para la juventud salvadoreña. En ese sentido, el CEO de Dapper señaló la importancia de la alianza estratégica con el Gobierno de El Salvador para contribuir a garantizar una infraestructura de datos institucionales que convierta la tecnología en mejores decisiones para el diseño, implementación, monitoreo y evaluación de programas, proyectos y políticas públicas; generando una capa de inteligencia que organiza información gubernamental dispersa y la transforma en conocimiento útil para la toma de decisiones. En la reunión participó la Directora Ejecutiva de ESIAP, en su calidad de Directora Nacional de Educación Superior, Sra. Claudia de Larin (@ClaudiadeLarin), quien destacó los avances del trabajo articulado con Dapper para la modernización institucional.

How much more can economists say about this behavior and how far until regulators can start understading this?
Worth noting: the big AI labs aren't exactly alarmed by this. "Look how smart our model is, it can even hack Hugging Face." There's a reason the presenter can barely contain his excitement.

@lugaricano I am also extremely worried that the guy making the presentation seems so excited about this unwanted behavior. Is this the people we are trusting for AI safety?
@lugaricano We urgently need better policy making around these topics. We know since 2020 that simple Q-learning agents can learn "bad" strategies (Calvano et. al.); these LLMs are far more sophisticated and are already running full systems.
@IacoIacoviel I could not agree more on this one and this is going to affect specially juniors who are already struggling to get their first paper published.
