@bradleywthomas Been taking the 17 from NCH for years to get to work and leisure, and I can’t think of better news than improving it from a crawl. Isn’t that the point?

in 3 years we went from "do you condemn hamas" to "do you condemn hasan" and israel is still a belligerent entity that is causing destruction, goading trump into war with iran & prominent dems are focusing on a critic of trump and israel instead of trump and israel itself. fools

Basically Republican political rhetoric boils down to "why are we talking about trivia like war or the economy when we could be talking about real issues like the seventh best player on a junior high school volleyball team in a state 1500 miles away?"

There's a level of smugly arrogant cynicism to this that's bad, even by politician standards. And she's not even a professional politician.

@JohnHMcWhorter @ijbailey TIL that Pete Hegseth and Charlie Kirk are figures from the 1960s. That’s a long post for someone who apparently can’t read.

In 2018, North Carolina held an election using congressional maps that had already been ruled unconstitutional. The winners were seated anyway. In 2022, Ohio did the same thing. Georgia and Alabama moved forward with racist maps in 2022 that violated the Voting Rights Act. The winners of those elections were seated anyway. When it’s Republicans disenfranchising Black voters and Democrats, illegal maps are suddenly good enough to keep in place during the election. None of those states even put their maps up for approval by the public like Virginia did. Virginia should proceed with their election under the map their voters just enacted. Anything less would establish an unfair precedent.

And just like post-spectral tendencies permeating a big chunk of any given comp department now, hyperpop’s soundworld has spread to the broader pop scene beyond the experimental core of the PC music label.

It approaches it in its historical progression via the use of existing techniques towards new timbres not in form. In this case the analogy is that what the spectralists did with post tonal orchestration hyperpop did with the tonal palate of common production tools. you don’t

Five hrs ago the US created a permission structure to invade any country and arrest any head of state for the crime of being an obstacle to Trump’s agenda. Can’t emphasize enough how your personal opinion on Maduro should be a thousand yards away from this conversation right now

Believe it or not, you can be both anti-Maduro and anti-American invasion, at the same time

It’s not about drugs. If it was, Trump wouldn’t have pardoned one of the largest narco traffickers in the world last month. It’s about oil and regime change. And they need a trial now to pretend that it isn’t. Especially to distract from Epstein + skyrocketing healthcare costs.
