@PhilM64 @cfs_jo You will *never* be out of the woods. That's not how it works.
@cfs_jo @PhilM64 My personal view is that if you "recover" then you had something else wrong with you.
@cfs_jo @CivicLilly1 @PhilM64 I'm somewhere in the middle on this. Having 'recovered' for 20 years, I think ME was dormant in my system and reared its head for short periods. I was never fully recovered though as any cardio exercise and my body couldn't cope. If treatment is ever discovered then possibly.
@PhilM64 @cfs_jo @CivicLilly1 It's a bit like me being 95 per cent recovered and you being 99.9. Certainly if I was able to do cardio regularly I would have done and not thought anything of it. Now if I recovered, I wouldn't touch that sort of exercise with a barge pole.
@Talmandaniel @PhilM64 @cfs_jo @CivicLilly1 It’s funny, even before I got this, I never did cardio, I hated ‘exercise’, although I was very active, walked everywhere. But catch me running? No way, it’s like my body knew to steer clear of it.
@PhilM64 @debbie_seymour @Talmandaniel @CivicLilly1 💯 I like to think I was a high achievers or perfectionist. Otherwise, I will be thought of as apathetic or lazy 😂 I believe my “lazy” brother would be diagnosed with ME by now if he’d not been laid back all his life and taken to his bed every time he felt tired!
