Raising awareness for wild animals 🐰🦦🦎🐟🦔

Anti-predationists aren't people who've just watched Bambi one too many times.
We simply believe that all sentient beings deserve moral consideration and that we should strive to help them, regardless of the source of their suffering.
Isn't compassion something you've felt, too?
@JedGofourth @wildlifeco1 Cross-species fertility regulation via synthetic gene drives and immunocontraception is more civilized than starvation and predation.
If we get things right, the future of life in the universe can be wonderful beyond the bounds of human imagination: a “triple S” civilisation of superlongevity, superintelligence and superhappiness.

It’s not enough to consider non-human sentient beings as an afterthought or when someone happens to bring up the topic.
They need to be integrated into the very core of our ethical thinking.
The species or environment someone is born into shouldn't dictate their right to moral consideration. Human, non-human animal born among humans, wild animal, whomever, if they are sentient, they deserve to be considered. 🌍
Just as we help humans affected by wild animal attacks, natural disasters, disease, and injury, we should extend the same care to wild animals suffering from natural causes.
We don't say to let humans suffer just because it's natural—so why do that to other animals? 🐾🩹

🌱 Dominion, IMHO, is the most important and life-changing documentary ever made.
🚨Let’s share it to help more people & animals.
For every 10 retweets, I’ll donate $1 to @AlliedScholars, up to $100 for now (1,000 RTs). I may increase.
“It is commonly believed that animal ethics entails respect for natural processes, because nonhuman animals are able to live relatively easy and happy lives in the wild. However, this assumption is wrong.”
- Oscar Horta
Worldviews really matter whether we think about them or not. How we answer the deepest questions like “what’s true?” and “who matters?” and “how do we make a better world?”.
How about the #Sentientism worldview’s “evidence, reason and compassion for all sentient beings”?
If we go beyond the human to care about “the natural world” while still neglecting the interests, needs and perspectives of the quadrillions of individual non-human sentient beings… we’ve made a terrible, and still deeply anthropocentric, mistake.
the gnostics were right. nature is evil. the state of nature is something to be overcome. a world where babies hunt and kill babies must not exist. we will uplift animals and abolish predation. we will grow synthetic meat. in the long term, of course, post-singularity

@goobcats Abolish the “natural order”. The “natural order” is often unjust and inefficient. We can engineer a much more ethical and efficient “order”.
Abolish predation, harness the weather, mine asteroids, overhaul the ecosystems, embrace transhumanism for even non-humans, etc.
Imagine being eaten alive, dying from infection, or starving before adulthood.
That’s not the exception in nature—it’s the rule.
You’re in the 0.001% who got lucky.
You won the genetic lottery.
That privilege doesn’t make wild animal suffering any less real, or less urgent.
