there's a sort of conversation partner that's invaluable, who can see through a clumsy articulation on a half-understood subject, get to the core of it, articulate it back to you properly while explaining the subject comprehensively, and expand on said clumsy articulation

finally figured out why "NFTs allow me to support artists!" leaves such a bad taste in my mouth it's a lie! NFTs are really asking artists to sell LESS art, less than there's demand for, so that other people will later buy the art from them, INSTEAD OF the artist

What I have come to understand rather comprehensively at this point is that kids are rational creatures with little information. They employ whatever strategies seem to benefit them consistently, given that they know so little. So I give them more information.

@engineering_bae I failed an initial phone screen at Google, where they asked unixy type questions. I tried my best and I thought I did well. The feedback was that I didn't know enough about unix commands, which is embarrassing given I was and still am GNU coreutils maintainer
