@cd4losangeles I hope this letter finds you well. I want to start by expressing my continued support for your work and leadership, as I truly believe in the positive changes you’re striving to bring to our community. However, as a young, highly taxed property owner, I feel I must address an issue that is impacting not only my neighborhood but also my sense of safety and the future of my investment. The ongoing practice of allowing abandoned properties to remain in such disrepair needs to stop. This pattern of neglect is contributing to unsafe conditions and causing a noticeable decline in property values in the area. These neglected properties invite trouble, and the situation has now gone too far to ignore. One specific example that has been of particular concern is the property at 1754 Sunset Plaza Dr. It has garnered attention before, even making it onto KTLA, with helicopters flying overhead during past incidents. Unfortunately, it has been destroyed once again, continuing the cycle of deterioration and the associated risks to the surrounding homes and community members. I know that the ownership of this property is not a mystery, and I respectfully urge you to take action. Allowing this kind of behavior to persist is unacceptable and sends the wrong message to those of us who are trying to build and sustain a safe, thriving neighborhood. As a homeowner who is already contributing more than my fair share in taxes, I implore you to address this issue before it further harms our community. I URGE YOU TO TAKE IMMEDIATE ACTION AGAINST THIS PROPERTY OWNER AND INVITE YOU TO JOIN ME IN PERSON TO VIEW THIS DISGRACE. I look forward to a prompt response from you and your staff.
