I'm seeing team leads under immense pressure. Why? Because AI decoupled effort from output. Developers can create giant PRs in a few minutes. But that code may take hours to vet, test, fix, and review. In 2024, bad developers were easy to spot. They produced little code, or struggled to write code that even ran. In 2026, bad developers can use AI to quickly generate tons of code they don't understand. It seems okay at a glance, but contains subtle problems and fundamental issues that are hard to spot. "The energy needed to refute nonsense is an order of magnitude bigger than the energy needed to produce it." -Brandolini's law (aka the bullshit asymmetry principle)
@thsottiaux Please add message queuing and steering to remote.
@PremiumGoblin If the underlying schema, skills, design patterns, architecture, etc is sound you greatly reduce tech debt accumulation. AI gives us ~2x on legacy prod, ~10x of greenfield.
AI does not make clean code or good architecture obsolete. Quite the opposite. Coding agents work better in clean, modular codebases than in a big ball of mud. So you better keep learning how to build good architecture and write clean code. Your agents need you to teach them. 😉

@thsottiaux how about chat threads in the codex app. Side chat works well for side conversations with all context, branching works well for a true split. Threads would work where an answer still falls within the greater context window and env preview.
I was definitively wrong about multi-agents and multi-worktrees doing meaningful work/code/development. But it is more like being a manager than a programmer. You're constantly being interrupted by your machine people, constantly context switching. And your team's competence level is all over the freaking map. It's like one agent comes to you and says "I don't know what to do? Help me!" And you say "okay little bot, here this, this and this" and it says "oh yeah" and you send it on its way. Another one pops in and says "All done, boss," proudly, puffing out its virtual chest. Then you check its work and go "WTF is this?" You go full Linus Torvalds on it, swearing like a New York trucker, ripping it to shreds. You tell it to come up with a new plan. You have to do part of the work yourself, snatching the keyboard back, fixing its crap and then throw the keyboard back saying, "now do it right this freaking time." Another one pops in and you're like, okaaaaay, this is pretty damn good. But now it's really at the human verification bottleneck. It did its GUI testing and it "works" but the UX is shit and unintuitive, so you have to drop everything test it for a few hours, take notes, discuss it and send the designer bot off to fix it. Strange new world.

@thsottiaux Set up issue dispatch, author loop and review loop skills to manage the full execution dispatch -> test -> review -> merge lifecycle. Pls reset usage
@thsottiaux Pair programming mode where you’re guided through tasks step by step (hopefully through an in app IDE).
@thsottiaux Drag and drop browser, terminal, review etc windows outside the app on another monitor.
@thsottiaux Basic editor in the app. Allow VS code or jetbrains key shortcuts. Beats opening worktree directories again and again in our IDE.
@thsottiaux Fix the flicker and scroll jumping when reviewing in the app
@thsottiaux Add replay test mechanism to the in app browser so QA can interactive set up repeatable tests without needing to understand playwright, etc.
@thsottiaux In app browser pointer and annotations in Claude is superior to codex at present.
@thsottiaux Please fix flickering and page jumps in the macOS codex app review side panel.
