Put some money in the bank last week & bought some DVD box sets online. Bought this set from Amazon for about $20. Very rare, OOP fir ages & often very expensive. There are better editions of these movies out there, but they would cost more, so I'm fine with these.

I answered an ad on Craigslist, got all these books together for $20. By getting Parable of the Sower, which is a bestseller right now, I saved myself money and a shopping trip to Manhattan.

Went shopping downtown today. Bought these two books and the Peter Gabriel CD from Book-Off, all for just under $10. Before I went downtown, I did some early voting. For the most part, it was a fun day.

Did some cleaning in my part of the house today. Hadn't done any cleaning in months, do it was overdue. Tomorrow, I'm going shopping, most likely downtown. Before that, I'm going to try & vote. Getting some stuff done before Halloween, Election Day & my birthday this weekend.

My Flip phone seems to be damaged. I flipped it open yesterday & it suddenly felt weird, then it started acting on its own & became very unstable. Also, a big black line formed in the middle of the screen and got smudger as I pressed into it. I think I have to get it fixed.

The day after the eclipse, I went downtown to do some shopping. I also went to the public library at Lincoln Centet and borrowed some CDs and DVDs. While there, I caught this and decided to record it.

I took this picture in my backyard this afternoon just as the eclipse was happening. I didn't have eclipse glasses, so I wore my tinted lenses & caught a quick picture with my phone. I didn't see that linear blue light when I took the picture, so I wonder what's that about

Did anybody else bought this New Line 40th Anniversary DVD set & have issues with it? Some discs freeze up after a while & stop playing, some freeze up & skip a chapter & others play all the way but have pixelation issues. I complained 2 the seller & got refunded. Anybody?

After three failed attempts, I finally got a multi-region Blu-Ray player to replace my old & no longer usable player...and it's exactly like the player I had before. The only difference is it's a 3-D player, but since I don't have a 3-D TV, it doesn't mean much. Still, I'm happy.

I finally got my check for jury duty an entire month after I finished my service. I thought I was going to get less than $800 because of Memorial Day, but I ended up getting all of it. Hopefully I won't have to go through this again for a real long time. I mostly hated it.

I just heard about Threads yesterday, so I to check it out. It doesn't completely duplicate Twitter (no trends or topics to search), but it's better than the other alternatives. Twitter is becoming more & more unusable & I tend to use Instagram more than anything else.
