Does anyone use @mendeley_com? It no longer supports footnotes, and so every citation *IN MY THESIS* is now in-text. Does anyone have any solutions? I've exported library to @zotero, synched that to Word, but the referencing was done in Mendeley. Thanks @AcademicChatter #phdlife
@danjohnsonhymns Did Mendele*y gives its users any heads up?
@danjohnsonhymns @Gina_92_ @mendeley_com @zotero @AcademicChatter Can you find a laptop or PC that has not been updated to the new version? I am having to use my old laptop to finish a systematic review with Mendeley as my @sheffielduni IT department now refuses to allow downloading of the Mendeley citing plug-in!
@danjohnsonhymns @mendeley_com @AcademicChatter Zotero will automatically relink Mendeley Desktop citations with the imported items, but it can’t currently read citations created with Mendeley Cite (which is what doesn’t support footnotes), so unfortunately those you would have to reinsert from the imported library.
@danjohnsonhymns For my phd I ended up doing the references by hand. I got so frustrated with all the programs that it ended up easier and quicker to do it manually!!
@danjohnsonhymns @mendeley_com @zotero @AcademicChatter I'd recommend contacting your university library learning support team. If it's happened to your work it will have happened to others too, and they may know what the solution is.
