Psychotherapy incentives need to change to focus on rapid results. Current paradigm is incentivized to create dependency and weekly sessions.

Also curious about how this would work with things like depression too. If parents aren’t depressed and living happy lifestyles, would that make the kids less likely to be depressed?
Study I’d love to see results on: are parents with ADHD who are medicated more likely to pass down ADHD traits to children? Would be great test for nature vs nurture since medicated parents would presumably have fewer ADHD symptoms while nurturing.
Psych meds are for when all else fails. Every other tactic to live well should be exhausted before taking them.
75% of med school students are on SSRIs and stimulants. It makes sense why doctors are so casual about prescribing psychiatric meds.
