This is our friend’s bitcoin. Good people. Hard working family people. Saving for retirement. For their kids. Money that was left for loved ones by Bitcoiners who passed away from brain cancer. Bitcoin that belongs to expectant mothers. Bitcoin from 10 years of scrimping and saving. We must look at it, we must feel this pain and we must never ever ever allow this to happen again.

The Knots narrative was built on lies. It started with the claim that Bitcoin nodes face CSAM liability. False. Nodes validate and relay data; they do not knowingly possess or control it. Now there’s an incredible site documenting it called knotslies.com

Occasionally, my boys have angry outbursts. Even the little ones can be shockingly powerful in their emotional expression. In that moment, punishment is the last thing they need. No amount of force will change the state they are in. It only adds fuel to the fire. So I do something else. I regulate myself. I hold them. I let them enter my frame of calm control and imitate it. When the storm passes, they feel the weight of what happened. They are embarrassed. Embarrassed enough that I do not need to lecture. They correct their own path.

@knutsvanholm @JP_Technology @stephanlivera XT was an attack on Bitcoin The inability of many to detect an attack on Bitcoin is a serious problem. Many were too slow to recognise XT as an attack, which is why those waves of attacks persisted for so long BIP110 is also an attack

So get this... Apparently all the Knots people don't understand that Knots is just Luke's personal project that he unilaterally pushes changes to whenever he feels like with almost no public community review at all. I believe in multiple implementations and running whatever you want but... Knots is NOT safe IMO without this peer review and I'd never trust it with my coins. "91% of commits bypass GitHub PRs entirely. No discussion. No review. Just merged. YOLO MODE!" x.com/_miguelmedeiro…

@SuperTestnet @theonevortex @JuanSGalt @hodlonaut @adam3us @FractalEncrypt You asked for evidence of PRs merged into a Knots release without independent review. Here it is: PRs merged into 29.x-knots (the release branch), author = luke-jr, merged by = luke-jr, reviews = 0: #255 - 0 reviews ✓ #246 - 0 reviews ✓ #244 - 0 reviews ✓ #205 - 0 reviews

The Knots people want to burn down the house to kill an ant. The spam they are fighting is about 0.043% of the blockspace.

Maybe I need to explain it to people a more basic way: ------------ Say you live next door to a nuclear reactor overseen by 100+ nuclear scientists safely the last 20 years. Then one day you get a knock on your door to support ONE autistic & disgruntled nuclear scientist who got kicked out years ago (and his anonymous assistant no one ever heard of) calling them all liars and offering to re-program the reactor, roll back a bunch of features, then become the primary or perhaps ONLY maintainer of the reactor going forward! - And his reason is "Trust me bro, this will be better energy" - You gonna support this right?

BIP 110 was coded by an anonymous dev who created his social media accounts 3 months ago. If adopted, it could break multisig storage. Why is anyone going along with this nonsense?

Sometimes a dead-end job is a blessing in disguise, if it is not draining you. Use it to give you stability while you work on other areas of your life that need improvement, whether that is getting healthier, expanding your social skills and network, or improving your job-related skills.

Thought for the day: if you are advocating for incentive incompatible features, or other features push to rearchitect Bitcoin to be easier to selectively filter transactions, you may have mistakenly found yourself attacking Bitcoin's decentralization and key properties.
