After much trial and error, I believe Serilog + Serilog Tracing [+ @datalust_seq] is the best logging/otel stack for most .NET shops. It's simple, effective, and what we use for PureBlazor and our clients.

Our customers use Seq to debug distributed systems. Seq 2025.1 is itself a distributed system. We debug Seq with Seq... debugging inception! Here's our view of a Seq cluster running a query across two nodes ("antechinus" and "bettong" 🐀), captured using an #OTel trace 😁

We love command palettes in the dev tools we use! In the upcoming Seq 2025.1 release we're adding a universal command palette with quick links to screens, context-specific actions, and (new) keyboard shortcuts. 😎

Heatmaps are coming to Seq in 2025.1 🎉 This new chart type is great for visualizing latency distributions, and is flexible enough to work with many other three-dimensional data sets. We're aiming to publish a preview late-2024; it's shaping up to be a huge release 😎
