@Choppersquad3 @iffabug @Alan__Shatter Of course Jewish people know persecution and suffering. I never suggested otherwise. Israel was established in 1948, and Palestinians also have generations of history in that land. Recognising Jewish suffering doesn't require dismissing Palestinian suffering.

@Choppersquad3 @iffabug @Alan__Shatter You can condemn Hamas, recognise Israel's right to protect its citizens and still demand accountability when Palestinian civilians are killed. These positions aren't contradictory. Being a decent human being shouldn't require picking which innocent lives matter.

@Choppersquad3 @iffabug @Alan__Shatter International humanitarian law isn't a popularity contest. It applies to Israel, Hamas and every party to a conflict. One side's atrocities don't excuse another's violations. Whether an attack is lawful depends on the evidence and the rules, not which side you support.

@Choppersquad3 @iffabug @Alan__Shatter Criticising the Israeli government isn't the same as attacking Israeli people. Condemning Hamas isn't an attack on Palestinians. Governments and armed groups must be accountable for their actions. Ordinary civilians shouldn't be treated as responsible for what those in power do.

@Choppersquad3 @iffabug @Alan__Shatter Generating tax revenue doesn't make someone's political arguments more valid, nor does receiving social welfare make someone's views less worthy. We should be judging arguments on their merits. Your bank balance has nothing to do with whether civilians deserve protection.

@Choppersquad3 @iffabug @Alan__Shatter Ah lad, U weren't even the person I was replying to! You've jumped into someone else's exchange, taken offence on their behalf, A story about me being on social and started bragging about paying Irish tax. All from Tel Aviv. Quite the meltdown over a tweet that wasn't for u

@GarethNotGarth @GodStonewa55763 And there we have it. No counterargument, no attempt to explain where I'm wrong, just an insult. If you disagree with teaching children about consent, boundaries and their right to speak up, explain why. Calling me an idiot isn't an argument. Someone check this lads hard-drive

And there it is. At least you're saying the quiet part out loud. Not disputing the facts, not challenging international law, just openly admitting you don't care about civilian lives. That's quite a statement to make publicly.

@HenMazzig Your headline links a $30bn loss to Israeli divestment. Your clarification admits there's no causal link. Meanwhile, Norway's fund returned 19.14% over the 12 months to June 2026. Calling everyone else financially illiterate while mixing up these figures is quite something. 🤡

@GodStonewa55763 @GarethNotGarth Nobody claimed consent education magically stops predators. It teaches children that their bodies belong to them, that unwanted touching is wrong and that they can speak up and seek help. By your logic, because some people break the rules, we shouldn't bother teaching them. WRONG

@c14english He's not a "Russian propagandist." Andrey Khrzhanovskiy is an Israeli citizen who stayed in Israel in 2022 fearing persecution in Russia, and documents settler violence. Reports say he was detained Oct 21 while accompanying a Palestinian olive harvest. irishtimes.com/world/middle-e…

@ih8evrybdy ...Nobody is arguing against affection. We're arguing that children should have a say in who touches them. Love and consent aren't mutually exclusive.

@ih8evrybdy That's a spectacular bit of whataboutery. Children deprived of affection in Romanian orphanages have absolutely nothing to do with teaching consent....

@ih8evrybdy So because some people ignore consent, we shouldn't teach it? Consent education isn't about making abusers obey "no". It's about teaching kids they have a right to say no, nobody is entitled to touch them without permission, and they can speak up when those boundaries are crossed
