@jwalms93 No contest! If I was to take a £10 from you now and in return promise to pay you £2 a year every year for the rest of your life that is just how valuable your pension investment is. youtu.be/kJpS3lS3h10

@DeutschePostDHL been awaiting a "next day" delivery that was due LAST Wednesday...the current indication is that they won't get it to us today either...a whole week then...

@TPScheme The case studies are misleading. They imply equality at a point in time. The CA figures are based on taking them 7 years later. Better to do a like-for-like comparison.

youtu.be/43nSpsANhBc Result - one more teacher wins tax relief from HMRC Lump Sum purchase of additional pension meant they were owed £1k - finally convinced them they were right and it's been paid.

@MartinSLewis Yes, not eligible. Business income down to under the 50% of income threshold...my other income? Examiner (2019/20)...all exams cancelled since- so not much there either!

@martinlewis ~£40 refund from POA received and shortly on its way to @pilgrimshospice - many thanks

@MartinSLewis @bbc5live £5k off the price of a house because it didn't have broadband. (11 years ago and fibre is being installed this month) #AskMartin

@ollyrzysko How BIG are the nits that they can be spotted at 2m???

@educationgovuk So there's a few quid for catch up sessions. What would really help is ensuring classes have teachers to provide consistency...what are you doing to retain teachers next year? #payfreeze @tes

#BBCYourQuestions Given that nurses, doctors, police and other key workers have (deservedly) been paid for extra shifts/overtime, what does the pay freeze for teachers say to them about the many extra, unpaid, hours they've put in doubling up on F2F and remote teaching?

@sair1326 @MartinSLewis @itvMLshow I am not a financial adviser, just a teacher with a similar scheme. They are good value. I made a vid explaining ours here: youtu.be/kJpS3lS3h10 the NHS is much the same. You pay ~10% and get 1/54 (~2%), so ~5 yrs into retirement u have it all back

An abridged version of the Government's proposal to correct the age discrimination in public pensions: dfountain.co.uk/wp-content/upl…

@olip2003 @MartinSLewis @itvMLshow This was my own, make a copy to use if you like: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d…

@thatdbemethatd @MartinSLewis @itvMLshow Most public sector pensions are defined benefit schemes that can only be transferred to other DB schemes and often only within a set time limit of moving to a new job.

@sair1326 @MartinSLewis @itvMLshow If NHS is like the Teacher's you can take it earlier than the specified age. Also, if you were in before 2012 you will get the benefit of the McCloud judgement. Work out how much you pay in...compare the private pension quotes for the same benefits.

@MariaCross8 @MartinSLewis @itvMLshow Best to check your benefit statement, particularly where your 'final salary' is calculated from and what happens to it if you work on. Check on hypothetical calculations too. McCloud means you are likely to get the choice re final salary vs career average too

@MartinSLewis @itvMLshow #martinlewis The gov. response to public sector pension reform re. McCloud. Taking pensions early, ie before NPA. Maximising lump sums in defined benefit. Pension recycling rules. £16,666 tax-free SIPP withdrawals (25% + PA)

@MoneySavingExp Depends on where he wants the relationship to go. Trouble is money can be seen as vulgar. Buying something for her 'from the money' would be my move...though buying a similar card for her would be akin to giving the present back which wouldn't go down well.

@tussarit One day at a time...
