For some reason many adults have been convinced that sports can either be competitive or fun, but not both & they couldn’t be more wrong. People don’t understand that enjoyment is about the happiness derived from pursuing your potential & your passion👇🏼 changingthegameproject.com/how-adults-tak…

"Your mistakes don't lose you games. Your response to mistakes, lose you games. We don't want reactions; we want responses." In sports and in life, your response-ability is your responsibility. Don't react (that's emotion) to mistakes. Respond (take action) to mistakes.

Saturdays are for the boys. Nah seriously though, this Saturday is actually for the boys. Our @ECNLboys take on FC Prime and Parkland Soccer Club on the East Coast. Don’t trip though 'cause the West Coast is still the Best Coast. #TampaMade | #NoThemOnlyUs

"The generation on my left was better..." 👀 Thierry Henry thinks @clint_dempsey, @charliedavies9 and @mauriceedu were part of a stronger USMNT than the current squad. 🤔

Pros make "mistakes" constantly in sports. So when a hard-working youth player makes mistakes, it’s an opportunity for coaches- not to add more pressure, but rather to support the player even more. Most will respond way better to that than being yelled at, blamed- or benched.

Coaches: It doesn’t matter how long you’ve coached or how much you know about your sport. Real relationships will drive real motivation. If you don’t take the time to get to know the kids you coach, how can you know the best, most effective ways to teach, lead & motivate them?
