All those freaking out about disappearing science and public health, it is a disaster. However, this didn't pop up suddenly. It started w/Biden dropping masks during an ongoing pandemic, reducing the isolation period by half, & then declaring the pandemic over w/zero evidence.

I really really wish I didn’t follow the “it’s okay to unmask now” in 2023 and wish I carried on against everyone around me telling me it’s now fine. If I did carry on masking I may not have long Covid now. My first infection was in 2023 when I unmasked. Don’t make my mistake.

There’s an enormous amount of disinformation flying around about NIH right now, so let’s clear a few things up. The NIH is not Big Pharma. It doesn’t make drugs, it doesn’t set public health agendas, and it doesn’t profit from your illness.

What many people don’t realize about living with a chronic illness is that we don’t wake up knowing how we’ll feel each day. This makes planning or scheduling incredibly difficult, predicting how we’ll feel three weeks from now at 11:00 a.m. is nearly impossible.

Most able bodied people aren’t afraid of becoming disabled because they believe the system will support them. That doctors will work night and day to figure out what’s wrong when they’ll most likely tell you it’s just anxiety.
