Anyone know what hashtags Spanish or Portuguese speaking game devs use for their post? For example, I know a lot of Japanese devs use #ゲーム制作 and I love seeing what everyone is making across the world.
The most frustrating thing about game development is it’s easier than you think but something unexpected always comes up that extends development time. Single bugs or miscalculations taking weeks to correct. Pain 🥀🥀🥀

The worst part about being a game dev is making deadlines with cushion in mind and still missing them. I promise I’m cooking up a game I’m proud of though. It’s a fighting game….kind of.
I am so conflicted between Unity and Unreal Engine. I made the transition to UE but everything still feels so foreign. I know in the long run it’s for the best, but damn I miss how easy Unity is 🥲.

There is an indie dev on Twitter making a cool horse racing roguelike or something like that and I cannot find the tweet anymore. I have never been more devastated 🥲.
If I had to guess Nen Impact is a Nick All Stars situation. First game is smaller and a little barebones. If it sales well though, I’m sure the publisher would be happy to push out a Nen Impact 2 as quickly as possible. The more tag fighters the merrier.
The twitter auto refresh is quite frustrating. I open twitter, I see a banger indie game I’ve never seen, I am about to like the tweet and BOOM, auto refresh. Never to be seen again.
Mechanic wise, there needs to be a reason to use every move and a reason to do combos other than your highest damage one. Moves should have as much depth in neutral as they do on block or hit. I feel like there isn’t enough decision variety in neutral in the current fg space.

I think about this panel of Vagabond often. Game development and programming in general can feel so all consuming. Deadlines, expectations, and overwork taking a toll physically. Take care of yourself and try to remember, the success was never the reason you wanted to game dev.
