If it ends 14-14, it will say that the Europeans retain the Ryder Cup, but we all know it will have an asterisk next to it after the Hovland withdrawal just prior to the singles matches. It's not a good look. But the US simply put themselves in too big a hole. It cost them.

Some commentary on the Va Tech 🏈 redshirt/contract situation. Redshirt are still on the team & more importantly their NILs are still used by schools in various ways. If a school terminates a contact b/c an athlete won’t be playing in games, it’s clear why they’re being paid.

These types of rev-sharing contract disputes are inevitable in situations where a coach is fired/leaves immediately prior to or mid-season. Contracts need to account for this. Also a clear example athletes are being “paid to play” & failing to admit this limits school options.
