@Peterlurievo Weren't you a fan of Cougar II? I saw him at Hollywood Park in 1973 in the Sunset 'cap.During the post parade,he would stop & look at the crowd that would then applaud.I then saw him run at Belmont vs Secretariat, but he didn't do it. Only for the home fans I guess

@TheRichardLewis Unfortunately all that is true and even more unfortunate, they still win plenty of elections, which I'm afraid doesn't speak well for this country

@goofonroof I'm probably too heavily influenced still by Tom Ainslie books from years ago. His theory was you were always better betting everything in the win pool.

@goofonroof In regards to your note that faster horses beat slower horses, they asked Alfred Vanderbilt, owner of Native Dancer, what made him so good. You expected to hear the usual it's his heart or his will to win, but he said, "He was faster than the other horses.That's all."

@TVGMike when bob baffert is in ny, someone needs to take a picture of him and billy turner, the only other living trainer of a triple crown winner

@FrankMirahmadi Very classy sign-off today!

@FrankMirahmadi With your regard for past race callers, perhaps you'd be interested in occasionally using the simple sign-off that Fred Caposella used in NY&Hia from the 1930s until he retired in 1971. He would always end the day with the words, "Thank you and...good afternoon."

@ronaldt54 John Imbriale just announced a loose horse had been "apprehended." Was he also identified, booked and brought to trial.? #wrongword

@LauraMRutledge Yea, but it's also about wins, not just losses. Alabama's best wins are LSU and Miss St. Pretty good, but Oklahoma beat Ohio State, Clemson beat Auburn and if Ohio St wins next week, they'd have beaten two top ten teams, Penn St and Wisconsin.

@DonLagreca Did you really just say Todd Gurley's not having a good year? 10 touchdowns and over 1,000 yards from scrimmage in half a year?

@RichPerloff Perhaps someone should ask the ? who let the DMR track deteriorate to the point where every winner has to go 5 wide both turns.

@TVGMike At Gulfstream and Gulfstream West, apparently they're just confused. They think Post Time is when the Post Parade begins.

@RealMichaelKay You don't watch enough Mets games. The team doesn't play hard for Collins. Even rookies don't run out ground balls.

@TVGMike Wonder what it's like living in alternate reality world. Remington linemaker thinks you're going to get 7-2 on Girvin.

@EvanRobertsWFAN Gary Cohen not doing the Mets game tonight and by a coincidence, there are not 46 references every inning to Pitch Count.

@TVGMike Think somebody put $100K on Always Dreaming in early betting. As Ed Norton said many years ago "I hope it wasn't some poor person."

@TVGMike Saratoga is three hours ahead of Del Mar and yet DMR has their entries out for Saturday first. #tryingtoohardtofilltoomanyraces

@ToddTVG You might tell your buddies at NJ Betfair Exchange we don't say "whilst" in this country (As in "Wait whilst your bets are placed")

@TVGMike SAR turf course named for Paul Mellon, a guy with a big art collection. DMR course named for Jimmy Durante, a guy with a big nose.
