Great discussion at Canary Live Bay Area @SenJoshBecker just raised the Elephant in the room: why are we spending billions keeping open dirty fueled power plants that run 15 hours a year when we need more clean flexible demand-side resources? Amen. #thermalstorage + #HeatPumps

Two thoughts: Rs thought they had a better cudgel with inflation. And 2) they were preparing to use their Majority to tarnish #IRA which is still likely. I don’t buy the merits of the law even by R standards will stop them from demonizing it at every chance they get. Stay tuned.

A few folks wisely credited the outcome of the GA Senate races for passage of the IRA. Taking this a bit further, expanding #VotingRights/fighting voter suppression is a necessary precondition for “winning the win” on climate. Climate philanthropy ignores this at it’s own peril.
