Another scripture that tells us to be wary of being a gossiper. This is something God takes seriously, and warns us about throughout scripture. Hold people’s business in confidence. We need to be diligent about this.

We can all be an instrument of evil. We can also be an instrument for God to work through us. I think most accept how common it is for us to be a tool for evil in this world. But, we don’t deem ourselves worthy of being used by God. God uses all who have a relationship with him.

We have to really utilize discernment when we share information about others. Gossip is dangerous. Sometimes information we share, even with the best intentions, can become harmful. We should pray to God to send his spirit to help us use the best discernment. Don’t share lightly.

Proverbs tells us, “The fear of God, is the beginning of wisdom.” It’s good to remember that God is in charge. When we think the opposite is true, this is when things go wrong in our lives. Let’s learn to trust God. Take our plans and desires to him. Let him lead our path.

Pride is something we’re told to guard against. Arrogance in one’s importance over others is vain, and displeases God. In this world people spend a lot of their lives trying to be more important than others. We are equal in God’s eyes. Seek humility over arrogance.

We are called upon to emulate the example Christ left for us. The best way to do this is to love one another. There are so many layers to this, and isn’t easy. We have to practice patience, communication, empathy, humility, etc. We need to pray to God to give us the tools.

If we don’t have a relationship with God, we rely on ourselves, & world views, to understand what it is we should pursue. We also rely on ourselves to determine the best way to obtain what we pursue. Most of the time it results in unattended unhappy endings. Learn to trust God

This scripture tells us how God wants us to live to have peace and happiness. Many of us want God to forgive us, yet we don’t forgive others. It’s hard for some to be humble, to admit someone is smarter, more talented, etc. Walking in love makes this easier, and gives us peace

God tells us in his word that he will be there for those of us whom seek him. Even in the most challenging times he will be there for those whom seek refuge in him. Some feel they aren’t worthy to turn to God. This isn’t true. He wants us to come to him in these times..as we are.

Humans understand there are supernatural powers at play that we can tap into. We try all kinds of things…Astrology, Chinese Zodiac, tea leaves, tarot cards, palm readers, psychics, etc. Scripture says don’t pay attention to cosmic powers. We only have to pray to God.

We are all going to die physically. Many will also due spiritually. We don’t have to. We are all sinners. The most righteous among us sin. God told us death is the wages of sin. However, we’re saved from this penalty due to his love. We only have to accept his gift of salvation.
