Fair Season comes before Sweater Weather for a reason if you are a regional Extension administrator. An endless supply of @4H food booths, @BeefUSA sandwich stands, #dairy milkshake booths, and @NationalPork hot sausage.

#Extension #coopext educators told me today they aren’t driving for meetings/farms b/c of gas prices. Instead of yelling at me why don’t you contact your federal representatives. Shut up and do your job. You hid in your bunker for almost two years.

Academia is a strange place full of entitlement. I worked in administration in the corporate world where there are real consequences. I enjoy the freedom and lack of actual expectations in academia. I dare not to complain about the “workload” or lack thereof.

My neighbor asked me a question about his bush. I told him to contact the #coopext #Extension office and the #MasterGardeners. It was a test of our responsiveness. He asked me again today. He inquired twice and received nothing. Guess who’s funding gets reduced Monday morning.

My poster for #coopext #Extension Conf., “You think change is hard. Try extinction” was rejected. No reason given. Leadership prefers the status quo and I would hurt some people’s feelings. The same ppl will ask why our county funding decreased and why state funding is flat

A policy was handed down to local administration from the Ivory Tower to diktat to our #volunteers. I counted 8 acronyms of which I didn’t know 2 of them. Clear as mud per the usual. #coopext #extension
