Wood heaters produce disproportionate levels of pollution. Consider nearly all households have cars, but only 5-10% have wood heaters but wood heaters emit the most pollution. @DEECA_Secretary @IngridStitt people need support to move to cleaner heating.

This is also about our public places ... being unsafe for wildlife, and children because of folks who want to bring their uncontrolled dogs into them. @CityofDarebin and #ConservationRegulator need to have a way to make spaces safe @gedkearney @RadioNational #NathanLambert

To be clear, these are not outlying findings; there is no empirical evidence to show that fuel load drives the rate of fire spread. Studies claiming this relationship are from models built on the disproved science. What about fire intensity then? 7/25

I measured the same trends for all forests in the south-eastern ranges. In all cases, fire - both prescribed and wild - caused increased flammability for decades. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.111… 21/25
