@MPFed Perhaps you could have spent some of the £3 million you allegedly have leant the national federation to care for these brave officers
@PFEW_HQ You missed out ‘alleged’? Or are police officers guilty until proven innocent. I take it by this post, you won’t be representing them as the only police staff association they have. I am not aware of what is alleged to have happened, but will wait before passing judgement.
Why the need to rush a statement out? These responses are spot on. Terrible from the officers’ own representative body. Whoever signed this statement off, does not understand the organisation and its role at all.
The fury to this statement is fair and members have a right to know who the ‘spokesperson’ is. As others have said, public statements before an investigation has even started risks undermining their right to due process and PFEW’s role in representing them.
Sometimes, above all the hype, you have to remember what you are and who you represent. This statement illustrates @PFEW_HQ hasn’t got a clue. Last week it was urging compassion while highlighting officer suicides. And then it sends a statement out like this…?!

*Question on the Police Federation* Our police officers need a body that provides them with strong, accountable and effective representation. They are not getting that from the Police Federation @PFEW_HQ Pleased that the Minister for Policing will be taking this up.

An all round great person who always had members’ interests at heart in everything he did. Disgracefully silenced by the Fed who then ran down the clock so that he leaves with no outcome from the shambles of an investigation it launched.

This is why our fight with @PFEW_HQ is so important. It’s academic for me, i won’t get my job back, I’ve been replaced, as has @mpfchairman - but without rank & file reps loyal to *the members* NOT “the entity” my colleagues will continue to be let down & denied their voice!
