@RollswAdvantage That said, any character with a touch aversion should have an automatic reaction as soon as the character is touched. Im not trying to make waves. Just trying to point out that there are ways for a DM to call for a strength check and then allow the victim agency.

@RollswAdvantage The other player then has the opportunity to either roll whatever (with advantage) or refuse the other. It is at this point that the initiating player should back down. I understand that content like this can be triggering, but this makes more sense to me in role play.

@justicearman You sit down with a bunch of friends to tell a story. 1 person has an idea of where the story is going and the rest play specific character with no idea & have to try to figure it out.

@bea_dnd I had glowwy rock candy crystals by a lake in a cave in a one shot. Eating different colors restored different amounts of hp & or other issues. Purple was the equivalent of a long rest. While at the opposite end of the rainbow red restored 1d4 hp.

I am fully vaccinated. REASONS I STILL WEAR A MASK: 1. People lie 2. People are stupid 3. People think I'll believe them. 4. ^This will result in cases rising & (as is starting) masks being required again. 5. When wearing a mask I don't have to fake a smile.

@snickelsox Sweet & light with some added cinnamon. She's an overly hyper fire genasi brass draconic sorcerer. She substitutes sugar for contact as when her emotions run high she sparks.

@KevBot_MTG The one thing I suggest, is make it make sense for you. You are the dm so the rules in the book are subject to your whims. If it doesn't make sense change it & let your players know. 1 of mine: wild magic sorcerer effects cannot be greater than the spell the sorcerer can cast.

@PMal_Comics As a new DM myself, with level 1 characters, I would adjust the spell from fireball (3rd level spell), to a cantrip or 1st level fire spell & have it be accidentally belched. It does not make sense to me for wild magic to respond beyond a sorcerers ability to cast.

@MaMaCthulhu @GraceGFreud I like using the terro drops, short term it may increase the number of ants, but its a poison they take home & it kills all of them.

@TheGamersRest We were in college & it's actually the only reason I try to use feats now. Typically only take them if it works for my character.

@TheGamersRest I had a DM that had everyone start off with a feat because otherwise they didn't get used. Humans (which start with a feat) weren't used often. Group thoughts: Why would I want to be human when I already know it sucks let me be an elf.

@Conners1234 @UnfetteredMuse Ah. Well that's good. You loose a lot of the nuances being given a higher level character. Creating it at least allows you to understand each of the abilities to a better degree.

@Conners1234 @UnfetteredMuse Did they make it for you, or did you make the character? That can make a big difference in playability at higher levels.

@LauraSavino747 I think I'm alright as is. I'm not overly trusting & tend to be somewhat of an introvert, but there are some people I go out of my way to avoid, usually because my instincts are screeching. It does take a while for me to consider someone my friend though.

@MoseyDm As a new DM this is me, as time goes on it may change, but I'm new to DMing & will stick to the plan. How you get to the plan may change but the plan will happen.

Hey, just wondering.. I was raised to call people Sir & Ma'am. However there are people that those titles don't necessarily apply to. Everyone is specifying their pronouns & I figure these titles should follow, but is there a gender neutral one to use?
