Came up just short of qualifying, but the guys ran their hearts out. Matt Andersen finishes 4th overall and qualifies individually for next week’s Sectional at Kaneland.

A great day at the Peoria Invite at Detweiller Park. 4 of 7 athletes experienced Detweiller for the first time. Lessons were learned and successes were had with 5 of 7 achieving lifetime PB’s for 3-miles. Sophomore Matt Andersen lead the way with 17th place finish in 15:40.2.

Congratulations to Victor Vazquez of our boys cross country team. Victor is 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 for the second year in a row! He will compete at the IHSA State Finals in Peoria on Saturday. Bison Nation held a sendoff breakfast for Victor this morning. Good luck, Victor!

Great performances for @fentonxctf at Regionals today. 4 PB’s and our best Top-5 avg of the season. Great learning experience for young team. Congrats to Victor Vazquez (6th) and Mark Sisco (40th) for qualifying as individuals to sectional. Thanks @KHS_Knights for a great meet.

Great performances for the Bison at the @UpstateEight Conf. meet. Victor Vazquez was 2nd on varsity in 15:47. Eric Ziehm 1st on Fr/So in 17:56. David Severiano (6th) and David Aviles (16th) also nabbed awards on Fr/So. Excited about how far they’ve come and how far they can go.

Perfect weather for our first meet of the year. Varsity finishes 4th place at the St. Pats Invite with 4 guys making their varsity debut. Victor Vazquez leads the way with a 4th place individual finish. A great start to the season with plenty of room to grow.

A bittersweet finish to the season. A great day for a Sectional meet at Lincoln Park. Sophomore Victor Vazquez runs 16:40, would have qualified for the State Meet. Senior Juan Carlos Sosa runs 17:57; his second best 3-mile time ever.

Strong performance by the Bison today with a 4th place finish at the St. Viator Regional. Sam Elizondo 4th individually to lead the way. The Bison advance to next Saturday’s Sectional at Fenton HS. Girls Race at 10:00 am. Boys Race 11:00 am.

Great finish to the regular season at the Upstate Eight Conference Meet. Congrats to Sam Elizondo all-conference honors (13th-16:55) and Victor Vazquez finishing 5th in Fr/So Race (18:23). Plus we made some new friends along the way. On to the St. Viator Regional next week.

39th Annual John Kurtz Early Bird is tomorrow!!! Can’t wait to compete against some of the best in Illinois. Girls Varsity at 9:00 a.m. Boys Varsity at 9:30 a.m. Girls Fr./So. at 10:00 a.m. Boys Fr./So. at 10:35 a.m. Girls Open at 11:10 a.m. Boys Open at 11:45 a.m.

Thanks to everyone for coming out to the 41st Annual Alumni Race and Varsity Time Trial. Amazing to see the continued support our alumni provide to our program. Varsity finished with three runners ahead of last year’s number one runner, a great start to the season.
