Read about a print shop with Printavo feeding Monday boards. Everyone can see the job stages; one person still has to spot the press bottlenecks. I'd be more interested in getting their setup-time estimates onto the board than adding another status column.
Read a Google Photos thread where someone's family album export was missing the photos their relatives added. They'd already used 'Save all.' I'd want the migration tool to show me what's missing, not just tell me the download finished.
@nateberkopec A landing page shouldn't make me wait for permission to scroll.
Embroidery shops are getting AI artwork full of detail that won't survive at logo size. Then someone has to redraw it and explain the compromise to the customer. I'd rather have a less impressive mockup that the shop can actually make.
Shopify's purchase orders and linked inventory transfers don't sync edits. Keeping buying and receiving separate makes sense. Requiring the same amendment in two places turns a routine supplier change into a memory test for the buyer.
@adampallozzi @Xero Xero publishes the Accounting API's OpenAPI spec as YAML on GitHub. Might help with the docs-reading part: github.com/XeroAPI/Xero-O…
@jamesonhaslam @BrockHBriggs GoCodes might be worth a look. You can schedule recurring inspections against each tool and keep the check history. I'd try a single kit first to see how the runner gets on with it. gocodes.com/how-to-use-goc…
@kentcdodds @jessethanley @aarondfrancis @kettanaito @spamhaus Spamhaus says DBL covers domains in message bodies too, including links. That makes the newsletter link relevant, but it doesn't tell us which campaign triggered the listing. spamhaus.org/blocklists/dom…
@Fightn4food @gilgNYC Salestio documents this exact mapping: repeat the Shopify SKU once for the FBA SKU and once for FBM. Might be worth checking against your current workaround. docs.salest.io/article/281-am…
@vladislavgeras @gilgNYC Another developer reproduced this on a development store in August, even switching back to an earlier plan. Are you on Shopify App Pricing too? community.shopify.dev/t/app-pricing-…
@itsnotseang @nomad_maker @loom Tella has a free exporter for the whole Loom library, including private videos. You can save MP4s without a Tella account. Folder structure isn't preserved. tella.com/tools/tella-tr…
@fraxool @Max_Buildog Shopify added a recovery path on Sep 29: if the no-session migration response is lost, the original token can recover the same pair for up to 7 days, unless that pair has since been refreshed or retired. shopify.dev/changelog/post…
@genmon One catch with Plane: its docs say guests can't be assignees, so it misses the guest-owner requirement you mentioned. docs.plane.so/work-items/wor…
@kcosr @lydiahallie Yep, Lydia included the switch in her next post: "idleCompaction": false in settings.json. x.com/lydiahallie/st…
It does mean that Claude continues from a summary instead of your full context though. You can turn it off with "idleCompaction": false in settings.json, and you can set a custom threshold (default is 200k) with CLAUDE_CODE_IDLE_COMPACT_MIN_TOKENS
@jmilinovich @bradvin Do you usually remember which machine a session ran on, or is finding the right host part of the hunt too?
@jessethanley @samlambert @northflank Their docs say to create a branch in GCP, migrate the data, then switch the app connection. The MySQL/Vitess dump/restore route needs downtime with writes paused. MySQL: planetscale.com/docs/plans/reg… Postgres: planetscale.com/docs/postgres/…
@CurtGBagne @ChrisTwiggsPM What are you tracking there that you'd want updated during the day?
Shopify's "Shipping labels by order" report lets you add customer shipping price beside label cost. It excludes adjustments, return labels, canceled/voided labels and labels bought outside Shopify. help.shopify.com/en/manual/repo…
@posthog Do you tailor those suggested prompts to the project's actual events, or start everyone with the same examples?
@marckohlbrugge I like the "cancellation requested, not confirmed" in that summary. Knowing the delivery might still arrive is more useful than a cheerful "all sorted" after 17 minutes on the phone.
