Which part of containerizing a Node app is so hard that some are spending thousands of dollars a month on serverless just to avoid it? I'm genuinely curious.

I think it’s mostly marketing and vibes of modern serverless platforms. You get the feeling that servers are somehow more hard, but in fact most people have to think MORE about their infra when on serverless. Cold starts, bundle sizes, provider costs, etc Serverless has its place, but it’s not always a great default for people who just want to ship code. Come to the light folks :)
